Pulse curve Curve that describes the pulse motion of the arteries and veins. Carotid artery, and jugular vein. The carotid artery wave is similar to the arterial pressure wave. It coincides with the opening of the aortic valve and rises suddenly. It impacts the wave formed by the blood flow from the left ventricle to the aorta, reaches the apex and descends as it forms a dicrotic notch. At this point, the aortic valve closes. In clinical practice, the contraction time of the left ventricle is indirectly measured by the carotid artery wave. Leakage time is most important, which refers to the time from the elevated point to the dictotic notch. 맥파곡선 동맥 및 정맥의 맥박운동을 묘사한 곡선을 말한다. 경동맥파, 경정맥파가 대표적이다. 경동맥파는 동맥내압의 파형과 유사하다. 대동맥판개방의 시점에 거의 일치해서 급격하게 올라가며, 좌심실에서 대동맥으로의 혈액유출에 의해 형성되는 파를 충격파라 하고, 정점에 이르러 그대로 하행해서 중복절흔(切痕)dicrotic notch을 형성한다. 이 시점에 대동맥판이 폐쇄한다. 임상에서는 경동맥파에 의해 간접적으로 좌심실의 수축시간을 측정하여 사용하고 있다. 유출시간이 가장 중요한데 이것은 올라가는 개시점에서 중복절흔(dictotic notch)까지의 시간을 말한다.
