Myoglobin It is a hemoprotein similar to hemoglobin in muscle cells. It contains a red pigment and reddishes the muscles of birds and mammals. It consists of a single polypeptide chain consisting of 153 amino acid residues and one heme containing divalent iron. 미오글로빈
