오펜바흐
Offenbach is a city in central Hessen, Germany. It is located on the coast of the Main river, also known as Offenbach am Main. Population 118,770. It is located across the river Mein and across from Frankfurt. It first appeared in the literature in 977, became the Count of Izenburg at the end of the 15th century and was incorporated into the Hessian Great War Era in 1816. Since then, it has declined and developed together with Frankfurt, which is in the west of the river. In the past, it was famous for producing leather products and was the center of German leather industry. Currently, the leather industry has declined, but related trades such as the Leather International Expo are held. After World War II, the financial city of Frankfurt grew with its growth, and many companies were in place. Hyundai Motor, Kumho Tire, Honda Motor, and Manroland Sheetfed have European subsidiaries in this city. There is also a port on the Main river and a metropolitan rail link to Frankfurt. 오펜바흐는 독일 중부 헤센 주에 있는 도시이다. 마인 강 연안에 위치하여, 오펜바흐암마인이라고도 한다. 인구 118,770. 마인 강을 사이에 두고 프랑크푸르트 건너편에 위치한다. 977년 문헌에 처음 나타나며, 15세기 말 이젠부르크 백작령이 되었고 1816년 헤센 대공국에 병합되었다. 이후 강 서쪽에 있는 프랑크푸르트에 밀려 쇠퇴하기도 하고 함께 발전하기도 하였다. 과거에는 가죽 제품 생산으로 유명하여, 독일 피혁공업의 중심지였다. 현재는 피혁공업은 쇠퇴했으나, 피혁 국제 박람회가 열리는 등 관련 거래가 활발하다. 제2차 세계대전 후 금융도시 프랑크푸르트의 성장과 함께 발전하여 많은 기업체가 입지하였다. 현대자동차, 금호타이어, 혼다 자동차, Manroland Sheetfed의 유럽 법인이 이 도시에 있다. 마인 강의 항구도 있으며, 프랑크푸르트와는 광역철도로 연결된다.
