Pole projection or stereo projection is a function of moving the spherical surface to a plane. This function is not defined only at the projection point, which is just one point in the sphere. If it is included, it is a smooth function and a shear function. It is also conformal. In map projection, it is also called the projection method.

극사영 또는 스테레오 투영은 구면을 평면으로 옮기는 함수이다. 이 함수는 구의 딱 한점인 투영점에서만 정의되지 않는데, 이 점을 포함한다면 매끄러운 함수이며 전단사 함수이다. 또 등각사상이기도 하다. 지도 투영법에서는 평사도법이라고도 부른다.
