Long-term side (Pohang city)
장기면 (포항시)
The long-term side is the south side of Pohang City, Gyeongsangbuk-do. It is located at the southernmost point of Pohang city and bordered with Gampo-eup, Gyeongju city to the south, and serves as a key point of traffic connecting the coast to the land. There have been frequent invasions of jaguars since ancient times. Typical cultural heritages include long-term euphorbia, cerebral acidity, and shingles. In addition, there are scattered Hyeonggyo, Seowon, historical monuments and Buddhist temples which are influenced by the scholars of the Chosun dynasty such as Wuam Songshil and Dasan Jeong Yakyong. 장기면은 대한민국 경상북도 포항시 남구의 면이다. 포항시의 최남단에 위치하고 있으며, 남쪽으로는 경주시 감포읍과 경계를 하고 있고, 해안과 육지를 연결하는 교통의 요충지로서 역할을 하고 있다. 옛날부터 왜구들의 침입이 잦았으며, 대표적인 문화유적으로는 장기읍성, 뇌성산성, 척화비 등이 있다. 또한 조선시대 석학인 우암 송시열, 다산 정약용 등으로부터 영향을 받은 향교, 서원, 사적비와 충효관 등이 산재해 있다.
