It accounts for 10% to 20% of follicular carcinoma thyroid cancer, and there is a tendency for women. It is composed of large and small follicles or color structures similar to normal or mature thyroid follicular tissues, accompanied by secondary changes such as fibrosis, calcification, hemorrhage, and cyst formation. It is difficult to distinguish adenomas from other adenomas. The rate of proliferation is slow and it is not uncommon to have been present for many years. It is predominantly involved in hematogenous metastasis and is prone to form bone and lung metastasis, and lymph node metastasis is rare. The 5-year survival rate is around 60%. 여포상선암 갑상선암의 10~20%를 차지하며, 여성에게 많은 경향이 있다. 정상내지 성숙되고 있는 갑상샘 여포조직과 유사한 대소의 여포나 색상구조로 이루어지며, 섬유화ㆍ석회화ㆍ출혈ㆍ낭포형성 등의 2차적 변화를 동반한다. 세포이형에 부족하고 선종과 감별이 곤란한 경우가 있으나 주위에 침윤성 증식을 하고 있다. 증식속도가 늦으며 몇년에 걸쳐서 존재하고 있었던 예도 드물지 않다. 주로 혈행성 전이를 일으키며 골ㆍ폐로 전이소를 형성하기 쉬우며 림프절 전이는 드물다. 5년 생존율은 60% 전후이다.
