My regia or reginal aqua or its scientific term nitro-hydrochloric acid is a very high acidic acid mixture. This solution is yellow or red. This mixture is formed by mixing new concentrated nitric acid and hydrochloric acid, usually with a 1: 3 volume ratio. It's so named because it can dissolve what royal or precious metals are said to be gold and platinum. Nevertheless, titanium, iridium, ruthenium, tantalum, osmium, rhodium and some other metals are capable of resisting the corrosive properties.

Ia dinamakan sebegitu kerana ia boleh melarutkan apa yang dikatakan logam diraja atau berharga iaitu emas dan platinum.
