The millennium or millennium is a period of time equal to one thousand years. The term alf derived from alfam Arabic while the term millenium comes from the English millennium. The term may implicitly refer to the calendar millennium; the periods tied to a system date, especially those that began or in later years which were a whole number from a thousand years afterwards on the calendar. This concept is discussed in this plan. This term can also refer to a time interval starting at any date. Frequently in this case it may have religious or theological implications.
