Ballad
Balada
Ballad is a kind of poem that is usually narrative that is matched with music. The ballad is derived from a ballade or French balladée chanson originating "dance songs" in the Middle Ages. Balada is a popular poem and song in Great Britain from the late Middle Ages until the 19th century and widely used in Europe and then on the Americas, Australia and North Africa. Ballad forms are often used by poets and composers from the 18th century to produce singles ballads. Then, in the 19th century, the word "ballad" took the form of a love song slowly and now this word is often used to describe any love song, especially pop or rock ballads.
