In Islam, martyrdom means a Muslim who is dead when fighting or fighting in the way of Allah defends the truth or defends the rights with patience and sincerity to uphold the religion of Allah. Who struggled to defend his property, his soul, his family, his religion, and died in his struggle, he died fi sabilillah or martyrdom. Dead martyrdom is the highest ideals of Muslims. Siapa yang berjuang membela harta miliknya, jiwanya, keluarganya, agamanya, dan meninggal dalam perjuangannya itu, maka ia meninggal fi sabilillah atau mati syahid. Mati syahid merupakan cita-cita tertinggi umat Islam. Salah satu jalan menuju mati syahid adalah berjuang di jalan Allah.
