WHAT DOES DRASKA MEAN IN POLISH?

Match - for firing fire, specially prepared for this purpose wooden sticks, additionally impregnated in whole or in part with a combustion aid and at one end covered with a friction-ignited mass; This tip is called the match head. At present, most matches are ignited only by vigorously rubbing their heads with a specially prepared surface called dragee. This practically excludes uncontrolled self-ignition as a result of accidental rubbing on other surfaces. Phosphor matches have been used for a long time, with intense rubbing, for every dry and rough surface, for example the sole of the shoe. Modern matches are covered with a flammable mass consisting mainly of potassium chlorate, antimony sulphide, sulfur, dyes and ground glass to give the head roughness to increase friction. The matches are saturated with liquid paraffin to make them light and sodium orthophosphate prevent them from glowing when the flame is extinguished.

Zapałka – służący do rozpalania ognia, specjalnie w tym celu przygotowany patyczek z drewna, dodatkowo nasączony w całości lub części substancją ułatwiającą spalanie i na jednym końcu pokryty masą ulegającą zapłonowi wskutek tarcia; końcówka taka nazywana jest główką zapałki. Obecnie większość zapałek ulega zapłonowi wyłącznie wskutek odpowiednio energicznego potarcia ich główki o specjalnie przygotowaną powierzchnię zwaną draską. Praktycznie wyklucza to niekontrolowany samozapłon wskutek przypadkowego potarcia o inne powierzchnie. Jednak dość długo stosowano zapałki fosforowe zapalające się przy energicznym potarciu, o każdą suchą i szorstką powierzchnię, chociażby o podeszwę buta. Główki współczesnych zapałek są pokryte łatwopalną masą składającą się głównie z chloranu potasu, siarczku antymonu, siarki, barwników i zmielonego szkła nadającego główce szorstkość w celu zwiększenia tarcia. Drewienka zapałek są nasycone ciekłą parafiną ułatwiającą ich zapalanie oraz ortofosforanem sodu zapobiegającym ich żarzeniu się po zgaszeniu płomienia.
