organelle

Organellum

Organellum - each cellular cytoplasm separated from the membrane of a cell, specialized to perform a specific function. The prokaryotic cell does not contain cellular organelles, which distinguishes it from the eukaryotic cell. Genomes and ribosomes are not organelles because they are not separated from the cell membrane environment. Eukaryotic cells contain a basic set of membrane organelles. Organella: ▪ Cell nucleus ▪ Mitochondria ▪ Chloroplasts, chromoplasts etc. ▪ Vacuola ▪ Endoplasmic reticulum ▪ Endoscopic ▪ Endoscope ▪ Peroxisomes ▪ Glyoxysomes In the Polish language the term organellum is often used in a narrower sense , that is, excluding the nucleus. Some organelles of eukaryotic cells are derived from endosymbiotic bacteria. They are surrounded by a double membrane, have their own, DNA-independent genetic material in the form of circular DNA molecules, and their own, other than cytoplasmatic, ribosomes. ▪ wakuola ▪ siateczka śródplazmatyczna, czyli retikulum endoplazmatyczne ▪ lizosomy ▪ aparat Golgiego ▪ endosomy ▪ peroksysom ▪ glioksysom Uwaga: W języku polskim termin „organellum” często używany jest w węższym znaczeniu, to znaczy z wykluczeniem jądra komórkowego.
