Adenoma

Adenoma

An adenoma is a collection of glandular growths. Adenomas can grow from many organs including the colon, adrenal, pituitary, thyroid, etc. These growths are benign, although with the passage of time they can progress and become malignant. At this stage, they are called adenocarcinomas. Although adenomas are benign, they have the potential to cause serious health complications by compressing other structures and producing large amounts of hormones in a deregulated manner.
