Eustasia

Eustasia is a term used to designate the process that is translated in the eustático movement, that is in the relative global variation of the level of the sea. Eustasia translates at planetary level by a change in sea level relative to ground level caused by changes in the volume of water in the global ocean or by variation in the global volume of the ocean basins.
