Pogrom is a massive violent attack on people, with the simultaneous destruction of their environment. Historically, the term has been used to denominate mass acts of violence, spontaneous or premeditated, against Jews, Protestants, Slavs and other ethnic minorities of Europe, but it is applicable in other cases, to involve countries and peoples of the whole world. Pogrom é um ataque violento maciço a pessoas, com a destruição simultânea do seu ambiente. Historicamente, o termo tem sido usado para denominar atos em massa de violência, espontânea ou premeditada, contra judeus, protestantes, eslavos e outras minorias étnicas da Europa, porém é aplicável a outros casos, a envolver países e povos do mundo inteiro.
