electro
Electro, is a kind of electronic dance music, directly influenced by the use of TR-808 rhythm synthesizer, and funk. Records of this kind usually have heavy beat and hard sound synthesizers, usually without voice, although if the voice is present, it is delivered in an inexpressive manner, often through an electronic distortion such as vocoding . This is the main distinction of the electro to prominent previous genres, such as disco, in which electronic sound is only a part of the basic instrumental rather than the entire song.
