Vakıf
The foundation is a legal entity established by persons or institutions, whose duties and authorities are determined by law. Traditionally, a service is a 'foundation' for property or money left by a person, separated by certain conditions and an official way, to be made in the future. This is formed by the institutionalization of the traditional structure with the Turkish Constitution. According to the Constitution, "Associations and foundations can not organize meetings and demonstration marches except their own subjects and purposes." In other words, they are established for a specific purpose and can not show any activity outside of it. They are supervised by the General Directorate of Foundations. Vakıf, kişiler veya kurumlarca kurulmuş, yasayla görev ve yetkileri belirlenen tüzel kişiliktir. Geleneksel olarak, bir hizmetin gelecekte de yapılması için belli şartlarla ve resmi bir yolla ayrılarak bir kimse tarafından bırakılan mülk veya paraya 'vakıf' denir. Bu geleneksel yapının Türkiye Anayasası ile kurumsallaştırılması ile oluşmuştur. Anayasaya göre "Dernekler ve vakıflar kendi konu ve amaçları dışında toplantı ve gösteri yürüyüşü düzenleyemezler." Yani belirli bir amaç için kurulur ve bunun dışında etkinlik gösteremezler. Vakıflar Genel Müdürlüğü tarafından denetlenirler.
