Atheism, immorality - a worldview characterized by the lack of faith in the existence of any gods, spirits, other "afterlife" beings, etc. Atheism contrasts with belief in the existence of supernatural - theism in the form of polytheism or monotheism. Some religions have a lack of faith in a personified god. Sometimes such religions are called atheistic. Many of those who consider themselves godless are skeptical of all "supernatural" beings or phenomena, quite logically pointing to the lack of empirical evidence of their existence. Others argue in favor of atheism, relying on philosophy, sociology or history. Атеї́зм, безвірництво — світогляд, який характеризується відсутністю віри в існування будь-яких богів, духів, інших «потойбічних» істот тощо. Атеїзм протиставляється вірі в існування надприроднього — теїзму у формі багатобожжя або єдинобожжя. Деяким релігіям притаманна відсутність віри в персоніфікованого бога. Інколи такі релігії називають атеїстичними. Багато з тих, хто вважає себе безбожниками, скептично ставляться до всіх «надприродних» істот чи явищ, цілком логічно вказуючи на відсутність емпіричних свідоцтв їх існування. Інші наводять аргументи на користь атеїзму, спираючись на філософію, соціологію чи історію.
