Barium is an element of the periodic table of chemical elements whose atomic number is 56 and the chemical symbol is Ba. It is the fifth element of the 2A family in the periodic table and is a soft alkaline earth metal with silver and white metallic luster. Because of its chemical nature is very lively, never found in nature barium quality. Barium is the most common mineral in nature is barite and poisonous heavy stone, both are not in the water. The name of barium is derived from the Greek word βαρύς, meaning "heavy".
