新黨是中華民國一個公開支持中國統一的統派政黨，是泛藍成員之一。 原為中國國民黨在立法院的改革派次級問政團體新國民黨連線，1993年因為反對李登輝，脫離中國國民黨自立，主張清廉制衡、公義均富、族群和諧、中國統一。1994年新黨以制衡兩大黨為號召，與社民黨、勞動黨、工黨等左派政黨結盟，1994年12月社民黨與新黨合併，於1995年中華民國立法委員選舉獲得122萬票，成為具有關鍵影響力的第三大黨。1996年新黨與民進黨結盟，推動二月政改。2000年親民黨成立以後，新黨流失了部分支持群眾，中南部的黨公職逐漸轉投親民黨或國民黨。新黨第三大黨的角色轉變為泛藍政黨的一員，主張國親新三黨整合。2001年中華民國立法委員選舉敗選後，轉型為剛性政黨，此後在國會選舉皆與國民黨合作。 2012年中華民國立法委員選舉自行提名不分區立法委員，並提出「面對統一」訴求國會必須要有統一的聲音，最終以不分區政黨票得票數為195,960、1.
