Parole

La libertad condicional es la liberación provisional de un preso que acepta ciertas condiciones antes de completar el período máximo de pena. Originario de la libertad condicional francesa, el término se asoció durante la Edad Media con la liberación de los prisioneros que dieron su palabra. Parole is the provisional release of a prisoner who agrees to certain conditions prior to the completion of the maximum sentence period. Originating from the French parole, the term became associated during the Middle Ages with the release of prisoners who gave their word.
