La unidad Zip es un sistema de almacenamiento de disco flexible extraíble de media capacidad que fue introducido por Iomega a finales de 1994. Originalmente, los discos Zip se lanzaron con capacidades de 100 MB, pero las versiones posteriores aumentaron este primer 250 MB y luego 750 MB. El formato se convirtió en el más popular de los productos del superfloppy que llenaron un lugar en el mercado portable del almacenaje de los últimos años 90.
