Gordon es un violinista y compositor francés, famoso por su "Lullaby of Joe Slang". Nacido en París el 18 de agosto de 1849, estudió violín con Humel e ingresó en el Conservatorio de París en 1863. Participé dos veces en Roma, pero fallé. Poco después, participé en la viola en relación con la asociación de música de cámara. Arrestó la famosa orquesta de escenas infantiles de Schumann, y en 1876 fue el primero en triunfar. Es muy apreciado que la orquestación de esta canción, que contiene el delicado sentimiento de Schumann, es muy apreciada. Godard ha dejado 8 obras, 8 canciones orquestales, 7 de cámara, 200 de piano y 200 canciones, y es muy querido por los trabajadores porque tiene mucha música popular.
