Situla

Situla: un plato grande usado en la antigüedad, hecho principalmente de bronce, siendo el equivalente al cubo de hoy. Situle también se encontró en la Edad Media. En la antigüedad, el lugar era generalmente cónico, con una manija de bronce, rhodium rico y decoración tribal en círculos horizontales. Fue producido en Italia y el sureste de Europa durante las detenciones y gravámenes. Solían dibujar y llevar agua, y también se usaban en rituales. Generalizado en muchas partes de Europa, hasta Escandinavia. También llegaron a las tierras polacas: un cedazo de bronce con un arco de hierro de origen italiano fue descubierto en la tumba de la cultura Przeworsk en Zubowice, cerca de Zamość, que data de finales del siglo II y 1 AC.

Situla – duże naczynie używane w starożytności, wykonane przeważnie z brązu, będące odpowiednikiem dzisiejszego wiadra. Situle były spotykane również w średniowieczu. W starożytności situle miały zwykle kształt koniczny, jeden kabłąkowaty uchwyt, bogatą dekorację rytą i trybowaną ujętą w poziome kręgi. Produkowano je na terenie Italii i południowo-wschodniej Europy w okresie halsztackim i lateńskim. Służyły do czerpania i noszenia wody, a także były wykorzystywane w obrzędach rytualnych. Rozpowszechnione były w wielu rejonach Europy, aż po Skandynawię. Dotarły one również na ziemie polskie – brązową situlę z żelaznym kabłąkiem pochodzenia italskiego odkryto w grobie wojownika kultury przeworskiej w Zubowicach koło Zamościa, datowanym na przełom II i I wieku p.n.e.
