Cess
Cess est une taxe. C'était le terme officiel utilisé en Irlande quand il faisait partie du Royaume-Uni de Grande-Bretagne et d'Irlande, mais a été remplacé par "taux". Le terme était autrefois particulièrement appliqué à la fiscalité locale. Dans l'Inde coloniale, il a été appliqué, avec un préfixe éligible, à toute taxation, comme la cessation de l'irrigation, l'éducation et autres.
