ज्वालादेवी संज्ञा स्त्री० [सं०] शारदापीठ में स्थित एक देवी । विशेष— इनका स्थान काँगडा़ जिले के अंतर्गत देरा तहसील में है । तंत्र के अनुसार जब सती के शव को लेकर शिव जी घूम रहै थे तब यहाँ पर सती की जिह्वा गिरी थी । यहाँ की देवी 'अंबिका' नाम की ओर भैरव 'उन्मत्त' नामक हैं । यहाँ पर्वत के एक दरार से भूगर्भस्थ अग्नि के कारण एक प्रकार की जलनेवाली भाप निकला करती है जो दीपक दिखलाने से जलने लगती है । इसी को देवी का ज्वलंत मुख कहते हैं ।
