विशेष— यद्यपि यह शब्द वेदों में आया है तथापि आर्यभाषा का
नहीं है । 'पिक' आदि के समान यह अनार्य भाषा से आया
हुआ माना गया है । शबर भाष्य में इस बात का स्पष्ट
उल्लेख है ।
