CHE SIGNIFICA COTRANSDUCTION IN INGLESE
Trasduzione (genetica)
La trasduzione è il processo attraverso il quale il DNA viene trasferito da un batterio all'altro da un virus. Si riferisce anche al processo in cui il DNA straniero viene introdotto in un'altra cellula attraverso un vettore virale. La trasduzione non richiede un contatto fisico tra la cellula donando il DNA e la cellula che riceve il DNA ed è resistente alla DNase. La trasduzione è uno strumento comune utilizzato dai biologi molecolari per stabilire stabile un gene straniero nel genoma di una cellula ospite. Quando i batteriofagi infettano una cellula batterica, la loro normale modalità di riproduzione è quella di sfruttare le macchine replicatrici, trascrizionali e di traduzione della cellula batterica ospite per fare numerose virioni o particelle virali complete, tra cui il DNA virale o RNA e la proteina.
