It may even be argued that this attitude of contentment leads to more positive outcomes as a result of the relaxation that goes with being contented. In a somewhat more mystical sense, contentment can be understood as an innate state before any intellectual judgement about life situations has entered into the picture. Perhaps this is why little children are generally happy until their intellectual powers - such as their ability to judge what is good from bad and being trained to hold onto concepts - begin to form and then their mental and emotional stresses begin to emerge.
