sebu 1. penuh berisi: perut saya ~ dan kenyang sebagaimana ~ dan kenyangnya perut-perut Pak Menteri; 2. tersumbat, terkambus, sendat: parit yg ~ diperdalam; 3. ki sebak, sesak: Sharifah Aini tidak bersuara lagi, dadanya terasa ~ benar; menyebu mengisi penuh-penuh, memadatkan, mengambus, menimbus: asap putih yg ~ tekaknya itu dihembusnya perlahan- lahan; menyebukan menjadikan sebu, menimbusi, menimbuni: serpih- serpih itu boleh ~ lubang, dan juga merosakkan mata alat pemotong; kesebuan perihal atau keadaan sebu: keupayaan parit dan sungai yg sedia ada tidak mencukupi, tambah pula dgn ~ kelodak.
