Reforma samorządu terytorialnego jest częścią gminy Corinth, której jest siedziba i jednostka komunalna. Jest stolicą Koryntii. Został on założony w roku 1858 w Nea Korinthos lub w Nowym Koryncie po trzęsieniu ziemi, który zniszczył istniejące osady Korynt, które powstały w okolicach dawnego Korynt.
