Decoherencja kwantowa
W mechanice kwantowej decoherencja kwantowa polega na utracie spójności lub uporządkowaniu kątów fazowych pomiędzy składnikami systemu w superpozycji kwantowej. Jedną z konsekwencji tego wycofywania jest zachowanie klasyczne lub probabilistycznie addycyjne. Decoherencja kwantowa daje wyobrażenie załamania funkcji fal i uzasadnia ramy i intuicję fizyki klasycznej jako akceptowalną aproksymację: decoherencja jest mechanizmem, w wyniku którego klasyczny limit pojawia się z kwantowego punktu wyjścia i decyduje o położeniu granicy kwantowo-klasycznej. Decoherencja występuje, gdy system współdziała ze swoim środowiskiem w sposób termodynamicznie nieodwracalny. Zapobiega to wzajemnym ingerencji w różne elementy w superpozycji superkondensacji kwantowej. Decoherencja była przedmiotem aktywnych badań od lat 80. XX wieku. Decoherencja może być postrzegana jako utrata informacji z systemu do środowiska, ponieważ każdy system jest luźno powiązany z energicznym stanem otoczenia. Widząc w izolacji, dynamika systemu jest niejednolita. Tym samym dynamika systemu jest nieodwracalna.
