Serotyp
Serotyp lub serowar oznacza odrębne odmiany w obrębie gatunku bakterii lub wirusów lub wśród komórek odpornościowych różnych osób. Te mikroorganizmy, wirusy lub komórki są klasyfikowane razem w oparciu o ich antygeny powierzchni komórkowej, co pozwala na klasyfikację epidemiologiczną organizmów na poziomie podrodzonym.
