sec. XV. Se plătea după greutate, pe miere. Întrucît acest produs se vindea la început în cîrciumi, numele s-a extins apoi la impozitul plătit pentru vinul vîndut în localurile publice. –
Var. camenă. Sl. kamenŭ „piatră, greutate”. După Cihac, II, 39, din
sb. komina „tescovină”, ceea ce pare mai puțin probabil. –

mare căminar, s. m. (căpetenie a
căminarilor, boier de rangul doi, fără drept de a lua loc la sfat; în 1834 rangul său a fost asimilat gradului de căpitan);
