Flexicuritatea
Flexicuritatea este un model al statului bunăstării, cu o politică pro-activă a pieței forței de muncă. Termenul a fost conceput pentru prima dată de prim-ministrul social-democrat al Danemarcei Poul Nyrup Rasmussen în anii 1990. Termenul se referă la combinarea flexibilității pieței forței de muncă într-o economie dinamică și la securitatea lucrătorilor. Guvernul Danemarcei consideră că flexicuritatea presupune un "triunghi de aur" cu un "amestec trilateral de flexibilitate pe piața muncii combinat cu securitatea socială și o politică activă a pieței forței de muncă cu drepturi și obligații pentru șomeri". Comisia Europeană consideră flexicuritatea drept o strategie integrată pentru a spori simultan flexibilitatea și securitatea pe piața forței de muncă. Flexicuritatea este proiectată și pusă în aplicare în cadrul a patru componente ale politicii: 1) aranjamente contractuale flexibile și fiabile; 2) strategii cuprinzătoare de învățare de-a lungul vieții; 3) politici active eficiente ale pieței forței de muncă; și 4) sisteme moderne de securitate socială care oferă sprijin adecvat al veniturilor în timpul tranzițiilor de angajare. Toate acestea se fac într-un context de salarii minime ridicate și de salarii medii ridicate, pe lângă taxarea progresivă clară.
