Bătălia de la Ipsus a fost întreprinsă între unele din Diadochi în 301 î.Hr., în apropierea satului cu acel nume din Frigia. Antigonul I Monophthalmus și fiul său Demetrius I al Macedoniei s-au oprit împotriva coaliției altor trei tovarăși ai lui Alexandru: Cassander, conducătorul Macedoniei; Lysimachus, conducător al Traciei; și Seleucus I Nicator, conducător al Babiloniei și al Persiei.
