Proctor
Proctorul, o variantă a cuvântului procurator, este o persoană care se ocupă sau acționează pentru altul. Cuvantul proctor este frecvent folosit pentru a descrie pe cineva care supravegheaza un examen sau un dormitor. Titlul este folosit în Anglia în trei simțuri principale: ▪ În drept, un proctor este un avocat sau avocat care acționează în unele instanțe. ▪ În biserică, un proctor reprezintă clerul din eparhiile Bisericii Angliei. ▪ În învățământ, un proctor este 1) numele funcționarilor universitari din anumite universități sau 2) un supervizor în timpul unui examen.
Definiția proctor în dicționarul Engleză
