Verb
Un verb, din verbul latin care înseamnă cuvânt, este un cuvânt care în sintaxă transmite o acțiune, un eveniment sau o stare de ființă. În descrierea obișnuită a limbii engleze, forma de bază, cu sau fără particulă la, este infinitivul. În multe limbi, verbele sunt influențate pentru a codifica tensiunea, aspectul, starea de spirit și vocea. Un verb poate fi, de asemenea, de acord cu persoana, sexul și / sau numărul anumitor argumente, cum ar fi subiectul sau obiectul său.
