Weasels / wiːzəl / sunt mamifere care formează genul Mustela din familia Mustelidae. Genul include nevăstuici, păstăi europene, stoats, dihori și nurcă europeană. Sunt mici prădători activi, lungi și subțiri cu picioare scurte. Familia Mustelidae este adesea menționată ca familia de nevăstuică. În Marea Britanie, termenul "nevăstuică" se referă de obicei la cea mai mică specie Mustela nivalis. Nebuloasele variază în lungime de la 173 la 217 mm, femelele fiind mai mici decât bărbații și, de obicei, au straturi de culoare roșie sau maronie și burtă albă; unele populații ale unor specii se mulează la un strat complet alb pe timpul iernii. Ele au corpuri lungi și subțiri, care le permit să-și urmeze prada în urlete. Cozile lor pot avea o lungime între 34 și 52 mm. Weasels au o reputație de inteligență, rapiditate și chin. Weasels se hrănesc cu mamifere mici și, din când în când, au fost considerate paraziți, deoarece unele specii au luat păsări de curte de la ferme sau iepuri de la războaie comerciale. Ele pot fi găsite în întreaga lume, cu excepția Antarcticii, Australiei și insulelor învecinate.
