Dünya bilimi veya Geoscience, Dünya gezegeniyle ilgili bilimlerin tamamı için kucaklayıcı bir terimdir. Gezegen biliminde tartışmalı bir özel durum, Dünya bilinen tek hayatı yaşayan gezegendir. Yer bilimlerine hem indirgemeci hem de bütüncül yaklaşımlar vardır. Yer bilimleri alanındaki resmi disiplin, atmosferin, su kürecülüğünün, okyanusların ve biyosferin yanı sıra katı toprak araştırmalarını içerebilir. Genellikle, Dünya bilimcileri, Dünya sisteminin nasıl çalıştığını ve bugünkü durumuna nasıl dönüştüğünü niceliksel bir anlayış oluşturmak için fizik, kimya, biyoloji, kronoloji ve matematik araçlarını kullanır.
