Toniklik, yarı geçirgen bir zar ile ayrılmış iki solüsyonun etkin ozmotik basınç gradyanının bir ölçümüdür. Genellikle harici bir çözeltiye dalmış hücrelerin tepkisini açıklarken kullanılır.
