Hipotez
Bir hipotez, bir fenomen için önerilen bir açıklama. Bir hipotezin bilimsel bir hipotez olması için, bilimsel yöntem onu test edebilmesini gerektirir. Bilim adamları genelde mevcut bilimsel teorilerle tatmin edici bir biçimde açıklanamayan önceki gözlemlere bilimsel hipotezler koyarlar.
