Piston
Bir piston, diğer benzer mekanizmalar arasında, karşılıklı çalışan motorların, pistonlu pompaların, gaz kompresörlerinin ve pnömatik silindirlerin bir bileşenidir. Bir silindirin içerdiği hareketli bileşen olup, piston halkaları tarafından gaz geçirmez hale getirilmiştir. Bir motorda amacı, piston çubuğu ve / veya bağlantı çubuğu vasıtasıyla silindeki genleşmiş gazdan krank miline kuvvet aktarmaktır.
