У хімії колізійні властивості є властивостями розчинів, які залежать від співвідношення кількості часток, що розчиняються, до кількості молекул розчинника в розчині, а не від типу наявних хімічних речовин. Це число відношення може бути пов'язане з різними одиницями для концентрації рішень. Тут ми розглянемо лише ті властивості, які виникають внаслідок розчинення нелетучого розчину в леткому рідкому розчиннику. Вони незалежно від характеру розчинних частинок і обумовлені, по суті, розбавленням розчинника розчиненого речовини. Слово "colligative" походить від латинського коллігута, що означає зв'язок разом. Колізійні властивості включають в себе: ▪ відносне зниження тиску пари ▪ підвищення температури кипіння ▪ зниження температури замерзання ▪ осмотичний тиск. Вимірювання колізійних властивостей розбавленого розчину неіонізованого розчину, такого як сечовина або глюкоза у воді або іншому розчиннику, може призвести до визначення відносних молярних мас як для малих молекул, так і для полімерів, які не можуть бути вивчені іншими способами.
