Перша поправка до Конституції Сполучених Штатів забороняє вводити будь-який закон про встановлення релігії, що перешкоджає вільній реалізації релігії, скорочує свободу слова, обмежує свободу преси, втручається в право на мирне зібрання чи заборону подання клопотання про урядове виправлення скарг. Він був прийнятий 15 грудня 1791 року як одна з десяти поправок, які складають Білль про права. Спочатку Білль про права було запропоновано як захід, спрямований на протидію антифаріалістичної опозиції до конституційної ратифікації.
