Осцилограф
Осцилограф, раніше названий осцилографом і неофіційно відомий як сфера дії, CRO, або DSO, є типом електронного інструменту випробувань, який дозволяє спостерігати постійно змінювані сигнальні напруги, як правило, як двомірний зразок одного або декількох сигналів у вигляді функція часу. Неелектричні сигнали можуть бути перетворені в напругу та відображаються. Осцилографи застосовуються для спостереження за зміною електричного сигналу протягом часу, така, що напруга та час описують форму, яка постійно графікується по каліброваній шкалі. Спостережувана форма сигналу може бути проаналізована для таких властивостей, як амплітуда, частота, час зростання, часовий інтервал, спотворення тощо. Сучасні цифрові прилади можуть розраховувати та відображати ці властивості безпосередньо. Спочатку розрахунок цих значень вимагав ручного вимірювання сигналу проти масштабів, вбудованих в екран інструменту. Осцилограф можна регулювати таким чином, щоб повторювані сигнали можна було спостерігати як безперервну форму на екрані.
