У екології хижаки - це біологічна взаємодія, в якій хижак харчується своєю здобиччю. Хижаки можуть або не убивати свою здобич перед подачею на них, але акт хижацтва часто призводить до загибелі своєї здобичі і можливого поглинання тканини здобичі через споживання.
