У лінгвістиці рецепт або рецикліптивізм є практикою відстоювання одного сорту або способу говорити мовою проти іншої. Це може означати думку про те, що деякі форми є некоректними, неправильними, нелогічними, не мають комунікативного ефекту або мають низьку естетичну цінність. Іноді це повідомляється лінгвістичним пуризмом. Ці нормативні заходи можуть вирішувати такі аспекти використання мови, як орфографія, граматика, семантика, вимова та синтаксис. Лінгвістичний реккриптивізм включає судження про те, які звичаї є соціально належними та політично коректними. Його метою може бути встановлення стандартної мови, навчання того, що конкретне суспільство сприймає правильну мову, або консультувати щодо ефективного спілкування. Якщо переваги використання є консервативними, рецепт може виявитися стійким до зміни мови. Якщо переваги використання є радикальними, рецепт може викликати неологізм.
