সিনাথস এল। / ˌsiːənoʊʊ / ˌsiːənʊ / ˌ ˌ ʊ ʊʊ ʊ / / ˌsiːənoʊʊ / ˌ ˌ ˌ ʊʊ ʊʊ / পরিবার রমনেসেই প্রায় 50-60 প্রজাতির শাবক বা ছোট গাছের একটি প্রজাতি। জিনটি উত্তর আমেরিকাতে সীমাবদ্ধ, ক্যালিফোর্নিয়ার তার বন্টন কেন্দ্র। কিছু প্রজাতি পূর্ব মার্কিন যুক্তরাষ্ট্র এবং দক্ষিণপূর্ব কানাডা পাওয়া যায়, এবং অন্যদের গুয়াতেমালা পর্যন্ত দক্ষিণ হিসাবে প্রসারিত। সর্বাধিক 0.5-3 মি লম্বা shrubs হয়, কিন্তু সি। Arboreus এবং সি। Thyrsiflorus, ক্যালিফোর্নিয়া থেকে উভয়, 6-7 মিটার লম্বা পর্যন্ত ছোট গাছ হতে পারে। নাম গ্রিক শব্দ κεανοθος থেকে উদ্ভূত হয়, যা থিওফ্রাস্টাস কর্তৃক একটি মশক্না ওল্ড ওয়ার্ল্ড প্ল্যান্টে প্রয়োগ করা হয়েছিলো বলে মনে করা হত Cirusium arvense।
