Moisturizers বা emollients রাসায়নিক এজেন্ট জটিল মিশ্রণ বিশেষভাবে চামড়া নরম এবং আরও নমনীয় বহিরাগত স্তর করতে পরিকল্পিত। তারা বাষ্পীভবন হ্রাস করে ত্বক এর জলবাহী বৃদ্ধি। স্বাভাবিকভাবেই চামড়া lipids এবং sterols, পাশাপাশি কৃত্রিম বা প্রাকৃতিক তেল, humectants, emollients, লুব্রিকেন্ট, ইত্যাদি, বাণিজ্যিক চামড়া ময়শ্চারাইজার গঠন অংশ হতে পারে। তারা সাধারণত প্রসাধনী এবং থেরাপিউটিক ব্যবহারের জন্য বাণিজ্যিক পণ্য হিসাবে পাওয়া যায়, কিন্তু সাধারণ ঔষধ উপাদানগুলি ব্যবহার করে বাড়িতে তৈরি করা যেতে পারে।
